Science.

Essential Qualifications:
1. M.Sc in Ecology amp;Environmental Science /Botany/Life Science/ Forestry with 55% marks.
2. NET (JRF)
(Non-NET (JRF) candidates may be appointed @Rs. 12,000/- + 10% HRA p.m.)
3. Desirable Qualifications: Working knowledge of operating Remote Sensing and GIS softwares preferred
NOTE: Those who have appeared for M.Sc. 4th semester examination may also apply. However is selected their appointment will be considered only after they qualify M.Sc. with the required percentage of marks.

Sálim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) requires Research Personnel for its project on “Cumulative Environment Impact Assessment Studies for Sutlej basin, Himachal Pradesh – Faunal Aspects”
Research Associate ( 1 No): Age limit: 35 years (as on 1.6.2012) – Fellowship : Rs.24,000/- plus HRA (20%); Qualification amp; Experience: Essential: Ph.D in Zoology or allied fields preferably on ecology or wildlife related topics. The person is expected to be self motivated with good communication and writing skills and aptitude in ecological research, Capacity to lead a research team; Preferable: Knowledge of Hindi language and Field research experience in Himalayan region in faunal studies and/or environmental impact assessments with... relevant peer reviewed scientific publications.
Junior Research Fellows (3 nos): Age limit : 28 years (as on 1.6.2012); Fellowship: Rs.16000/- HRA (20%); Qualification and Experience: First class post graduate degree in biological sciences (Botany/ Zoology/ Wildlife Biology), aptitude in ecological research preferably on birds, mammals, reptiles and/ or insects with relevant field experience. Applicants with three years of research experience in relevant field can be considered for SRF scale)
Duration of the project is 12 months. Age limit relaxation is available for ST/SC/OBC/Women/PH candidates as per Govt. of India Rules.
